"John's Divine Comedy" at the fringe!

I don't know why it has taken me so long to write a blog about this but here it is. My third solo show for the MN fringe festival is now running at Huge Theater in Minneapolis. So far I've had two great shows and look forward to the rest of the run next week. It is by far the funniest thing I have written and it was nice to have friends and family laughing at the goofy jokes last night. It makes my job so much easier. And yet, at it's core...a love letter to God. They say comedy is the hardest thing to do. This show was definitely the hardest to helm. Without my wife, Karen, and acting coach, Cheryl Brinkley, I would've drowned in my own writer's ink. Also thanks to my son Jack for inspiration and patience. I brought him to a three hour tech! And he and Karen came to my opening night show which started at 10PM. A little late for a six year old!
